It is important to ensure that all equipment models are tested before completing installation.
Assessment should follow these basic steps (note that these steps will very depending on model):
Model specific information can be found on the Model Catalog.
1 - Ensure that the equipment has Csafe enabled.
Most equipment (that has Csafe) will be auto-enabled; however, this is not always the case and is typically activated by accessing the maintenance mode on the console.
2 - Locate the Csafe port.
This is a standard RJ-45 port. Some equipment may have more than one port. Generally ports are located on the back of the console or at the base of the equipment.
3 - Use the LEDs on the Relay to verify functionality.
The blink patterns on the Relay are a powerful tool that identifies whether the equipment is working with the Relay.
- Plug the Relay into the Csafe port with provided patch cable.
- Begin a quick start session on the equipment. The Relay LEDs will blink on and off at different speeds.
- Observe the light patterns on the Relay
