All equipment that is equipped with Ecofit should be fully verified for functionality. This is completed using the Install App.
Before you begin, please ensure the following steps are done:
- The Buttons have been registered to the equipment.
- The Gateway has been fully updated.
- The Button wrap should be mounted on the equipment (but not secured using a tie wrap). This will allow the installer to remount the Button easily to ensure that the mount area is appropriate.
1 - Ensure that the Gateway has been fully updated.
Verification will only function if the Gateway is up to date. See Updating the Gateway
2 - Navigate to the Gateway and select the Button Toggle.
This will filter the equipment and only show the Buttons.
2 - Select the equipment entry that you wish to test.
This can be done by searching the list or using the search bar.
3 - Select the "Verify" button to begin the verification process.
4 - Open up the battery compartment of the Button and remove battery.
Each Button has a slip that separates the battery from the contacts. This slip needs to be removed.
- Remove the battery lid by turning towards the unlock symbol.
- Tap the Button lid side down on the palm of your hand to remove the lid and battery.
- Remove the battery slip and place the battery back in. The Button should begin to beep.
4 - Place the Button into the mounted silicon wrap.
Upon placing the battery inside, the Button will begin to beep every couple seconds. This is the boot mode of the Button and lasts for 30 seconds.
Once 30 seconds has passed the button will beep 4 times and enter Diagnostic mode.
NOTE: Diagnostic Mode lasts for 5 minutes. After this point, the Button will automatically switch to standard operation mode. Verification cannot be completed when in standard operation mode.
5 - While using the equipment, follow the instructions in the verification window.
Use the equipment normally during this test. Any movement detected will fill the green bars. Fill all the bars to continue.
If the green bars are not filling up, please ensure that the Network Strength is not too low and change the sensitivity setting to High Sensitivity by editing the equipment and update the gateway.
This tests if any background movement will be detected the Button. Do not use the equipment during this test. Bars will fill up when no movement is detected.
Wait for all green bars to fill up. Any movement during this time will appear as Red.
If background movement was detected, then change the sensitivity setting to Low Sensitivity by editing the equipment and update the gateway.
6 - Once the Verify button turns green, Verify the equipment.
Tap the verify button to verify the equipment. This will add the equipment to the verified list.
7 - Secure the Button using a cable tie.
Once a Button has been verified, it can be secured to the equipment using a cable tie (Zap Strap). This will ensure that the unit will not get knocked off or removed.
8 - Repeat the steps for each Button.
As Buttons are verified they will be highlighted in green. Any Button not highlighted requires verification to ensure proper functionality.
