A pivotal aspect of maintaining accurate data is ensuring that your locations remain in good health. While the Ecofit system requires fairly minimal upkeep there are a few tasks that should be completed on a regular basis.
Checking System Connectivity.
This is as simple as reviewing your locations on the Ecofit Portal and ensuring that the equipment and Gateway statuses are accurate.
Checking The Gateway Status. (Ecofit Sensors Only)
If your system uses Ecofit Sensors (Relay, Button or Tracker) to track usage data then it is important to keep the Gateway online at all times.
To review the Facility Integrations select the "Location Details" button on the toolbar of your location.
Checking Offline/"Check" Equipment.
If equipment has transitioned into the "Check" status it means that the equipment has not reported any data in the last few days and should be checked on the floor.
What causes equipment to go into Check?
There are a few reasons that a piece of equipment would transition into Check.
1 - The Equipment Is Out Of Order.
The equipment is non-functional or in need to repair. If this is the case you can manually set the status to "Out Of Order - Servicing".
2 - The Ecofit Sensor has been damaged or removed.
If the Ecofit Sensor has been lost due to damage or tampering a replacement can be ordered.
3 - The Ecofit Sensor is still mounted but does not seem to be functional.
Tracker
The Tracker is the latest Ecofit Sensor and combines the functionality of the Relay and the Button. If the Tracker is non functional in Relay (Csafe) mode then troubleshoot using the Relay section. If the Tracker is in Button (movement) mode then test to ensure the Tracker in functional by swiping a magnet across the front label. This should put the Tracker into diagnostic mode making the LEDs light up. If they do not then a replacement unit may be required.
Relay
Swap the Relay to another Csafe port (or another piece of equipment with active Csafe) and see if the LEDs turn on (Ensure that the equipment is powered).
If the LEDs DO NOT turn on then a replacment Relay may be required.
If the LEDs DO turn on then there is likely an issue with the equipment's Csafe port or console.
LED Lights that signify GOOD DATA:
Button
The Button is a legacy product that can be found on some strength equipment. If the Button is still mounted and undamaged then the battery could be depleted. To test this, remove the battery cover, remove and replace the battery. If the battery is not depleted then the Button will begin to beep. If the battery is depleted then a replacement will be required.
4 - Equipment Connected through API are no longer reporting.
If API equipment is no longer reporting data ensure that that the unit is still connected to the network. For more troubleshooting on API equipment please refer to your manufacturer or equipment user manual.
Identifying and rectifying offline equipment quickly ensures that there is minimal data down time and greatly increases the overall quality of the analytical tools.
