Compatibility: The Tracker can be used on all selectorized, plate loaded and non C-Safe cardio equipment.
The Tracker is not compatible with benches or free weights.
IMPORTANT: Always ensure that the Tracker is not mounted within a crush zone. Mounting the unit in an area that can apply excessive force to the unit may damage the Tracker and internal battery. Crushing a battery may cause fire or serious injury.
How it Works
The Tracker can record equipment usage by tracking the movement of equipment using its onboard accelerometer.
General Mounting Info
Each Tracker comes with an adhesive mounting pad pre-adhered to the sensor. The general principal of Tracker mounting is to find a location on the equipment that:
- Experiences noticeable and uniform movement.
- Is not in a pinch/crush zone.
- Is not in a location that is immediately noticeable by users of the equipment.
- Mounting area is flat. A rounded surface will cause gaps in the adhesive.
How To Choose A Mounting Location
Along with the 4 parameters above it is important to consider how the equipment is used and serviced.
Ensure the mounting location is thoroughly cleaned using an alcohol swap or other residue-free cleaning agent. Any dust or residue can cause the adhesive to fail.
Ensure that the part you are mounting onto is not regularly replaced during maintenance.
The weight stack of selectorized equipment can be a great mounting location as long as there is no add on weight that will impact the Tracker.
Don't mount the tracker where you are unable to reach again. In a moment you will need to activate the sensor with a magnet.
When affixing the Tracker to the equipment ensure that you are applying a good amount of pressure (at lease 15 pounds of force) for at least 10 seconds.
Tracker Mounting Process
- Clean mounting surface well with alcohol and allow to dry.
- NEW - Apply 3 layers of Adhesive Primer and allow to dry fully.
- Remove adhesive backing from Tracker.
- Adhere the Tracker to the mounting surface and apply at least 15 lbs of pressure for 10 seconds.
- This will ensure that the adhesive achieves the strongest bond possible.
- Apply the equipment sticker onto the frame of the equipment in a scannable location.
