Before equipment can be registered the Gateway(s) must first be added to the facility using the Ecofit Installation App. Once registered to a facility, equipment can be added to the desired Gateway.
Note! It is best to register the Gateway to a facility when the Gateway is connected to both power and internet. This will allow the Gateway to connect to Ecofit and run any necessary updates automatically.
1 - Access the desired facility and scan the Gateway QR code.
Do this by selecting the QR icon under "Add Gateway" on the bottom of the facility screen. If the QR code is not available, you can enter the code manually though this method is not recommended.
2 - Enter the Gateway Security Code
Enter the 3 digit Gateway Security code found on the front of the Gateway next to the QR code. If your Gateway does not have this number, then this step will be skipped.
3 - Take Gateway Photo
After confirming the security code, the app will prompt you to take a photo of the Gateway. This image should show where the Gateway is being installed so that facility staff can find it in the future.
The Gateway will restart once when connected to power and internet.
