The Relay sensor device is compatible with any fitness equipment that contains a supported Csafe port. Csafe compatibility will vary per model and can usually be found on the product specification or user manual.
What is Csafe?
Csafe is a protocol implemented on fitness equipment to allows for the collection of usage data. The connection point for Csafe will look like a RJ45 (Ethernet) port.
Csafe Modes
Mode 1
By default, the Relay is configured to Csafe Mode 1. The vast majority of Csafe compatible equipment implements this mode of Csafe. During installation, if the equipment verification process fails then a user can toggle the Relay configuration to Csafe to mode 7.
Mode 7
Only attempt to use Mode 7 if Mode 1 fails verification. When toggling between modes it is important to fully update the Gateway and power cycle both the Relay (by unplugging) and the equipment. This will ensure that the new mode configuration is accepted.
A Sample Of Equipment that uses Mode 7:
| Brand | Type | Model |
| Cybex | 771 and 772 | Arc Trainer |
| Matrix | 1X, 3X, 5X | Any |
| Star Trac | Series 8 Open Hub | Any |
