What is a non-connected asset?
This is any asset that does not contain a live data source such as an Ecofit Sensor or a connected API link. These assets are only added using the Ecofit Asset Portal. More Info.
How to network a non-connected asset with an Ecofit Sensor
Required Items:
- Ecofit Gateway
- Ecofit Sensors
- Ecofit Installation App
- Ecofit App Permissions

First, Install the Gateway and Sensors as per the Ecofit Installation Manual.
1 - Access your location on the Install App and select "View Non Connected Equipment" (Located under your Gateway list).
2 - Tap on the non-connected asset that you wish to connect and then tap "Connect"
3 - Scan the QR Code on the Sensor.
Ensure that the sensor is not already registered to another asset. If it is already registered, locate the asset on either the app or the portal and delete/archive the unit before proceeding.
3 - Select the desired Gateway from the dropdown and select "Connect".
This will link the sensor to the Asset and Gateway.
4 - Now that the asset has been connected, navigate to the Gateway to perform Configuration (Tracker) and verification.

Upon connecting a sensor, the Gateway will require an update.
